Mr Peter Lim is a businessman and a philanthropist. Since 2009, Mr Lim has committed more than S$60 million to a wide range of meaningful causes, with a focus on education and sports.
Mr Lim’s passion for education stems from his belief that education must be accessible for everyone. In this regard, he has funded numerous scholarships, including the Singapore Olympic Foundation – Peter Lim Scholarship and the NParks – Peter Lim Scholarship.

In 2010, Peter Lim donated $10 million to the Singapore Olympic Foundation to start the SOF – Peter Lim Scholarship.
National Parks
In 2030, Peter Lim pledged S$10 million to Nparks to start the NParks – Peter Lim Scholarship.
Therapeutic Gardens
In 2018, Peter Lim donated S$900,000 over three years to build Therapeutic Gardens in Telok Blangah, Punggol and Bedok Reservoir.
The Peter Lim Professorship in Peace Studies
In 2014, Peter Lim donated S$3 million to Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to endow a new professorship in peace studies.
The Peter Lim Sports Ignite Grant
The Peter Lim Sports Ignite Grant represents Mr Lim’s desire to help children and youth from less privileged backgrounds in the community as well as his continued commitment to the development of Singapore sport.
HCIS-Peter Lim Scholarship
In 2011, Mr Lim donated S$2 million to institute the HCIS-Peter Lim Scholarship Fund to provide funding for students who demonstrate exceptional academic merit and a passion for learning.
Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association
In 2023, Peter Lim committed S$600,000 to SANA’s Helping Hands Fundraising Campaign.
The Iconic NParks Peter Lim Tree
The honour of dedicating this iconic tree to Peter Lim was conferred by NParks for his outstanding contribution to advancing Singapore’s sustainability and environmental agenda.

Boxer Keana Ng and ice skater Ryo Ong among recipients of SOF-Peter Lim Scholarship

On Monday, the Eunoia Junior College student was named as one of 99 student-athletes who received the Singapore Olympic Foundation-Peter Lim Scholarship under the high performance Under-18 category.
Keana is the first boxer to receive the scholarship, worth $5,000 under this category, which she called a surprise.
Another recipient in the high performance U-18 category is short-track speed skater Ryo Ong, who picked up the sport when he was gifted a pair of rollerblades at the age of five.

A whirlwind tour of Singapore ended on Saturday for Cristiano Ronaldo with the Portugal football star entertaining fans not with his feet, but his hands instead.
Over 1,000 youth and adult volunteers at Victoria Junior College (VJC) caught a glimpse of his prowess with a racket and ball as he took part in a game of padel.
Saturday’s visit to VJC was in support of the Singapore Olympic Foundation-Peter Lim Scholarship.

Billionaire Peter Lim is picking up the tab for $1 million worth of meals hospital staff can enjoy in a show of appreciation and support for their work. At least 20,000 workers will receive food vouchers which can be used at more than 160 participating food outlets, including Kopitiam, Foodfare and Fei Siong.
